hello, i have a table with several values and would like to extract the maximum and minimum values for each row, independent in which column they are written in. Is this possible with the "calculate/set values" tool?

Posted - 01/13/2009 : 12:19:34 PM You can use the rowstats x-function to do this.
Because this function is an operation with multiple outputs it cannot be used in the expression box of Set Column Values, but can be put in the Before Formula Scripts box.
Also, since this function accepts a range as input, it doesn't matter which column you put it in as long as it's not an output column.
Example :
rowstats irng:=2:6 mean:=<none> sd:=<none> sem:=<none> min:=<new> max:=<new>;
Above looks at column 2 thru 6 and creates columns for min and max values.
