When exporting graphics to pdf format all plotted lines in the picture are blurred and fuzzy. It gets better when I change the thickness of the line, but this is only the case for solid lines, not for dot and dashed lines.

Is there a setting to make it better?

Thanks for help.

We are not sure why this happens. Please email us the graph so that we can do some tests to locate the problem.

Please follow the below instructions to send the file:

Version is Origin 8.

More exactly: the axis, axis title and filled symbols look very sharp. If I plot lines they are blurred compared to the rest of the picture. When I downscale the pdf (zoom 25%) the effect ist more dominant. At 25% you barely can see the lines, only the axis of the plot. The plot only looks sharp with very high zoom factor (200%).

I tested several pdf export settings (resolution dpi etc) but nothing helped.

Hi Matthias,

Could you tell us which version of Origin are you using? You can select Help-> About Origin to get it, which looks like V8.0986. And please state more details about the problem. You may also send the opj and the exported pdf file through

http://www.originlab.com/www/company/qform.aspx?s=1&

Best regards,
