When I plot a new line graph from my worksheet, using Origin 8, the axes always start at negative values, rather than 0,0. I've corrected this for the generated plot in the scale properties and saved the new plot as a new template, but when I select the Template Library and select this template for my selected data in the worksheet, I still get axes offset. I can see in the Template Library from the image that comes up when I select the template to use, that the axes are NOT offset in this template, but the plotted data still has offset axes. This scale property seems to be stuck somewhere and can't be overridden. I have purposely not implemented a System Them, so it doesn't seem to be coming from a theme.
Does anyone know what might be going on?

Hi,
To fix the increment at a chosen value, you can use a theme. Customize your axes and then right click on it. Select Save Format as Theme¡ from the fly-out menu. In the Save Format as Theme dialog open, type a name for this theme and check the Set as System Theme checkbox. Next time when you plot a graph, this system theme will be applied.

I am having a similar problem with a ternary graph, with scale being rescaled when reloading the template. I want and had saved an increment of 20. On reloading, the scale defaults to an increment of 25 (with divide by factor .01).
I followed the guidance, but rescale box is greyed out for all three axes.

Hi toonboon,
If you bring up the axis dialog and select Bottom axis, you can then switch to the Scale tab, then enter zero in the From edit box and then change the Rescale drop-down to "Fixed From". This will then fix the from value to be zero, which is what you wanted. Then save the template and use it to plot with new data. No need to create a theme to do this.
By the way, the image shown in the template library is just an image captured from your graph when you saved the template, so it is just a representation of how the graph would look like, and is not showing necessarily what is fixed etc.

Will it be the range of source data? The graph will be automatically rescale after plotting. It could affect the display range.
