Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System: Windows XP

Hello everybody,

may you can help me? I got a problem with importing data from a special program (Bio-Rad Win-IR Pro) to origin7.0 Pro. In Win-IR pro I saved the needed infrared-spectra as a .csv-file.
In Origin I use the import option --> import single ASCII-file. It opens the file. Unfortunately, after plotting the values of the x-axis are akward and after adjustment(scaling) of the axis most of the plot is lost. I can just see a small part.

Hopefully, there are some experts around, who can help me out.

Cheers
Oli

Thanks! I solved the problem! Partly, you are right. I had to select the column for the X values and to check "numeric display" box and set the value to zero!

Cheers Oli

Without seeing your data I can only guess. Maybe your X data is mixed text and numbers and Origin is using X as Categorical. Select the X column and see if Categorical is checked under the Column menu.
