v7.5 SR6, WinXP.
I am fitting curves to a small set of x-y data using the Nonlinear Curve Fitting (Advanced Fitting Tool). I like to also have a scatterplot graph of the x-y data open so I can see how the fitting progresses with each iteration via the red line that the system produces. Unfortunately, the red line that represents the fitted curve at any given iteration is only calculated at the same x-values as the data, so the line looks jagged. It only becomes "smooth" after the fitting session is "done" and the software calculates 48 evenly spaced datapoints.
I would like the Advanced Fitting Tool to display a smooth "fitted" curve during the iteration (fitting) process, not only at the end. Could you please instruct me how to make it do this? Thanks!

The jagged issue was solved in Origin 8. Maybe you can have a try.

Maybe you can adjust your initial values for the fitting parameters based on your data. Fitting is very sensitive to them.
