Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 8.0 SR6
Operating System: MS Win XP Pro

Hi guys,

since the origin compiler broke down once last week, the command window is gone. It's not possible to get the command window by pressing ALT+3 or by the corresponding menu item. I tried deleting my user profile for Origin and compiling the Origin files again. Nothing helped. Is there a workaround to obtain the window again without re-installation?

Thanks,

Alexander

Did you delete the Origin User Files folder before reinstalling? That may help

I tried this, also deleted all other keys below Toolbars. Next startup the keys were regenerated, but my problem remains. Maybe I try a regclean before another reinstallation...

It sounds like you will need to edit the Registry - not sure why.

The relevant key is
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\OriginLab\<originversion>\International\Toolbars\Tlb-Bar25
Verfiy that the WindowName for this toolbar key is "Command Window" then delete the whole key.

I now tried to delete my user folder and reinstalled Origin. But the missing window is still gone. So I assume that some value in the registry is wrong or a file in the origin base folder is broken, which was not replaced by the newly installation.
Seems to be a bug, or?

Thanks. But did not work for me. Any other idea?

Try View : Toolbars and click Reinitialize.
Restart Origin.
