Origin Ver.8 and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System:XPx64

Im new to origin and having a problem which is simple. my data from my machine puts each samples values into rows not columns, so the line plot in origin does not work. i did see this topic http://www.originlab.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3234&SearchTerms=column,axis which puts my x values into the x column, but all my Y data remains the same. i cant get it to transpose the whole sheet

Make the worksheet active and select Worksheet: Transpose from Origin menu. And it can transpose the whole worksheet.
You can refer to the example in the following web page.
