Origin Ver. and Service Release 8 dr6
Operating System: XP sp2

As previous posts have made clear, it is not easily possible to save an exact copy of a plot format into then out of a template. Scales, text boxes etc change. It does not seem possible to save a template identically to that which I have spent hours getting the format right. Ideally a template should be like a photocopy, even the errors are copied.

As this does not work, is it possible to copy a plot (empty) to another instance of Origin running? When I try to copy the plot window then paste, it is placed as an image into an existing window.

Hi Velson,

Are you saying that after customizing your graph, you saved it as a template (File->Save Template As... menu item) and then you opened a new instance of that template and some of your customization was not there?

Can you send your OPJ to tech support so they can look and see what is wrong?
