I used sigmoidal fit (in origin 7.5) to creat the standard curve for my experiments, with X axis for the concentration of the compound(the result I am after) and Y for the reading from the machine.

I know how to use sigmoidal fit function in tools section to calculate my results manually one by one. However, I have got hundreds of samples to work out. So my question is:

Is there an easy way to calculate the value of a batch of, rather than just one, specific points on the fitted curve?

Thanks a lot

Hi Fanning,

In the latest version 8.1, one can set up the analysis on one curve, save the settings (including finding x from y or y from x for multiple points from fit curve) as an Analysis Template and then perform Batch Processing to process multiple datasets/files without doing any programming. You can watch a video tutorial on this feature here:

In 7.5 the same could be done with programming either using LabTalk script or Origin C.
