Hello,
I have a simple problem with origin and I would be very glad for every support. In my triangle I have my some blue points, which in generale present a binodal curve. I would like to do a fitting with origin with the blue points, but I am not able to find the adjustment in origin for a x-y-z diagram.

I am not sure what numerical codes in your IMSL libraries did. So it is hard to say whether Origin can do the same.
However, in Origin, if you want to fit the ternary data, you can fit the data first and then plot it in ternary diagram.
In addition, you can also create user-define function with codes in external library such as IMSL. Here is a tutorial how to create user-defined function with external library

Hello Larry,
normally these fittings are done using certain numerical codes in IMSL libraries. Is it possible to do the same in Origin?

Could you tell me what's the model you looking for if you want to fit such plot?
There is a work-around to do interpolation, but we can't fit such curve.

hmmm...When origin is only supporting the drawing of ternary systems, is there another possibility of the fitting in ternary systems? Perhaps with another software?
