Hello,

I use the SineDamp fitting routine quite extensively and would like to understand how the start parameters are intialized.
Actually the main problem is reading the code(I know there is a Tab whee you can look the up the algorithm) as I am not familiar with the programming language in Origin.

So it would be great to get a summary how Origin extracts the start values, I am happy when I just understand the ideas behind the algorithm.

Thank you
Mike

Hi Mike:

Maybe you can first try the simple example on our help document?

Thanks
Larry
