Origin Ver. and Service Release: Pro v8.0, SR6
Operating System: WinXP

Hi All,

I am trying to manual set the windows on integration in a chromatogram that contains many small peaks. The Peak Analyzer has no problems finding the small peaks, but it appear s that the smaller the peak...the smaller the window of integration if on Auto.

After manually extending the window of integration and I select 'finish' to integrate I get the following error message:

pa_int:X-Function failed to execute!
Fail to integrate peaks

Any ideas to what I am doing wrong or suggestions to get the integration to go through?

Thanks.

Hi Ryan,

I have dig out the old log, and yes, it was an old version 8.0 issue.
Probably this old Peak Analyzer had a bug (at that time we could only suggest to extract the portion of the data), I guess.
I think that Origin 9.x can do much better job. Typically you can set the data range for a small peak before running Peak Analyzer. But also, just as I have tried, the Integrate gadget on the scaled-in plot quick-and-easily succeeded the job at least.

Probably the situation with your data, the hardship may be a different kind from the original poster's. Can you send the data with a short description how to get your trouble mentioning this forum post by pressing the link "Send File to Tech Support" button at the top of this page?

Thank you, and we look forward to investigating your issue.

Hi,

I realize this is an old topic, but I am running in to the sampe problem is the original poster. I have version 9.0 of the software and using the fix width for all peaks is not an option. Is there any way to get program to finish and give the integrations?

Thank you.

Hi Easwar,

I actually spoke to Hideo in Tech Support yesterday. Unfortunately, do the small size of my peaks I need to use Origin's zoom/magnifier and the peak analyzer does not seem to like this and get hung up. This happens on both v8 and v8.1. Hideo is letting the developers know for future work.

Thank you for you attempt, I'll look into the fixed window option and see if that will help me.

Hi,

There is also a setting for fixed width for all peaks, where you can specify a fixed left and right width in units of x scale for all peaks, would that work for your data, if you select that method, does it give an output?

Please send your data to tech support so we can also take a look.
