A convenient way is just smoothing the origin curve rather than fitting it. However, it needs experiences to determine the smoothing parameters and the related index, such as Fm and Fs, from smoothed curve. |

Posted - 03/15/2010 : 2:16:43 PM Hi,
If you know the equation, you can create a user-defined fitting function in Origin to fit your data. So you need to research/look up what equation to use for your data/field first.

Posted - 03/15/2010 : 09:10:17 AM You are right. It is a graph for the force and the energy absorbed at an impact test. I tested the Gaussian and Loretzian Fit (from the menu analysis) , it is close to what I want but I don't think is totally correct. |
