Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System:I am having trouble trying to create a graph with standard deviation represented as shading. I can get the stdv bars and manipulate line thickness to show rough shading but this hides the line plot. I was able to create two line plots that were just my data plus stdv, and my data minus stdv. This allowed me to use the fill function to get shading. Is their an easier way or setting that I can change so that when I graph stdv it will appear as shading rather than as bars?

Yes thats what I was trying to do. I spoke with the tech help line and it turns out there is no shortcut. You need to create two separate data columns of your measured data plus stdv and measured data minus stdv, then use the fill function. Thank you for the timely response though!

Do you have stdv in another Yerr column? You basically want to show the error bars as shaded region in a line or scatter plot?
