I have a dataset like following
x | y 0 | 1E-10 0.01 | 1E-9 0.1 | 1E-8 1 | 1E-7 10 | 1E-6 100 | 1E-5
I try to use linear fit by plotting the data in the log scale (both axes) and checking "Apparent fit". I get something like this:
I am not able to force Origin to fit through all the points. However, when I manualy convert the dataset to Log scale and plot it - fitting works just fine. Am I missing some options for the fitting?

Posted - 04/04/2010 : 1:18:10 PM You are right, if I check "Same as Input Data", it works fine. Minor issue here is that when I start Linear fit Origin by default set this parameter to "Log", which is correct but fit does not work unless it switvhed to "Same ...". I see a minor problem with program logic. By the way, when "Same as jnput data" is activated I can not get "Spun to Full Axis range", which is logic because I use the same range of data, but how I can get Linear fit work and "spun to full..." available? |
