Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):8.1G SR1
Operating System:win 2000 pro

I want to set the y axis to show me the range from -30 to 30 with incremet of 2, like this:

30
28
26
24
.
.
.
-30

I noticed that there is some obscure relation, between the "increment" and the "# major ticks". I know that it is possible to show the axis this way, but I want to unerstand how. I have also trouble showing x axis from 0 to 120 with increment 5 and showing all values like:

0 5 10 15 ... 120

The axis must be with manual, linear scale.
This is what I am talking about:

best guess:

and x axis

Cheers
Asen

There is a maximum number of major ticks, which can be found from Tools: Options, Axis tab. (I don't know German, hope you can fine this option). The default Numeric Scales is 20. So if you want major ticks for every 5 from 0 ~ 120, you should at least change this value to 25. If the ticks you set in Axis dialog is greater than this value, Origin will ignore it and use default number of ticks.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
Larry
