Hi there,

Can someone tell me how to get the p values from the Mann-Whitney test? Is the value given by the " Exact prob>|U|"?

Thanks!

Hi:

In the report worksheet, both Prob>|U| and Exact Prob>|U| in Test Statistics table are p value. The different is, Prob>|U| is a normal approximation of p.

For large sample sizes, the exact computation may require extensive calculation, particularly in cases where there are ties in the observations. So, we suggested you can output this approximation number in such case. And for small samples, the exact probability should be used.

Thanks
Larry
