Origin 6.1
Windows 7
My Origin stopped working. The program starts correctly with a working sheet open. I can type number in the columns. As soon as I try to plot I get the message "Origin 6.1 has stopped working". Any ideas will be very much appreciated. My Origin was working totally alright but dunno what's up now. Thank you much. |

Yes, it did work, thank you so much. I recently installed a new printer HP Deskjet 1600, and it was set as default, which caused this problem with Origin 6.1. Now I set another HP (laser) printer as default and the problem with Origin is gone. Mysteries of technology. Thank you very much. |

Origin 6.1 is very old and is not supported on Windows 7; however, if it was working ok, you might try changing your Windows default printer from Control Panel. Set it to document writer (something very generic) and then restart Origin.
