Origin Ver.8 and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System: windows 7

I have a matrix of data and want to do a image plot. My question is how to adjust the color scale? Specifically I can click "Fill" and then "introduce other colors in mixing" to choose two colors, however I have no control of what other colors are introduced. Does Origin has a color table so that I can exactly control the colors mixed?

Thanks!
Guanglei

Hi Guanglei,

In version 8.0, with your Image Plot graph window active, use the "Graph->Apply Palette to ColorMap..." menu item. This opens a dialog where you can pick from a set of palettes we ship with the product. These are Microsoft .PAL files so you can get more such files from elsewhere and use in Origin.

In version 8.1/8.5, the Fill dialog inside Plot Details has controls to link to a palette, in addition to options of filling with picked colors etc.
