Posted - 10/29/2010 : 04:28:35 AM As you can see following pic. There two X-axis, say X1 and X2, which have opposite positive direction. The origin locates at (0,0). I have two data sets, say (X1,Y1) and (X2,Y2) for iceberg and ship respectively. The question is how to plot the two data sets on a single fig. as following.
Thanks in advance!

Posted - 10/29/2010 : 12:51:04 PM Hi koey,
Another way is to use two layers adjacent to each other with a "shared" y axis" where you set the y to be same scale for both layers. See this graph gallery example: http://originlab.com/www/products/GraphGallery.aspx?GID=212&s=8&lm=215 That page then links to this tutorial: http://wiki.originlab.com/~originla/howto/index.php?title=Tutorial:Bar_Graph_of_African_Population

Posted - 10/29/2010 : 11:01:01 AM Hi Bladilu#65292;
Yes, that is also the only alternative way I think. But then the question is the tick labels of the x-axis on the left side will be negative and it doesn't show the left arrow, neither.

Posted - 10/29/2010 : 10:24:48 AM Hi ,
iam new to origin but : how about inverting (e.g. col(a) = col(a)*-1) one of the x-axis ,plot them both together ? |
