Posted - 11/07/2010 : 6:03:06 PM Hi All,
Fast question about a linear regression plot. If I have a hypothetical data set x = 1,2,3,4,5 and y = 1,2,3,4,5
How can I get the fitted line to extend back to the y-intercept (not a fixed intercept) as well as extend out past the plotted data?
I'd appreciate any suggestions.
Cheers!

Posted - 11/16/2010 : 10:14:43 AM Hi,
Those are called "Analysis Markers" and they indicate the range of data that has been analyzed. They are more useful perhaps if a part of the dataset is analyzed, and not when the entire dataset is analyzed.
With the graph active, you can go to the "Data->Analysis Markers" menu item and just hide them or set them to show only for partial range etc.

Posted - 11/16/2010 : 04:15:34 AM Another question regarding the same topic: When I plot a linear regression to a graph the first and last datapoint is equipped with some sort of error bar (purple in the picture below). First of all I don't know what value they are supposed to repressend and second I'm not able to get rid of them. If I right click them and choose delete, the whole linear regression plot is deleted.
