I have a problem plotting data (~17 Mio. points) . When a certain number of data points is exceeded, the plot window with axes appear, but the curve inside does not show up. When limiting the data to a certain range, it works, but then I cant see all the desired date.
1) Is there a way of only plotting every 100th point, and therefore to detour the problem (although its a non optimal solution? 2) Is there a way of plotting all data points by increasing memory, or similar solutions?
cheers, newton |

Posted - 11/22/2010 : 12:49:35 PM Do you know if speed mode is on? http://www.originlab.com/www/helponline/Origin8/en/mergedProjects/Quickhelp/QuickHelp/What_is_Speed_Mode_and_how_does_that_affect_my_graph_and_my_graph_export.html
1) If you have a scatter plot or a line+symbol plot, in the Plot Details dialog there will be a Drop Lines tab. You can enable the Skip Points setting:
Select this check box in the Data Points Display Control group to display a specified frequency of data points. Type the frequency in the associated text box. For example, type 5 in the text box to display every 5th data point as a symbol.
