Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): V8.1.13.88
Operating System:XP

I am trying to manually rescale a time x-axis. Each time I change the value of "from" or "to" properties, the plots disappeared.
The x values are defined as time, with format ddd:hh:mm:ss (measurement duration of 20 hours on two days).
The properties values in scale tab are shown in format hh:mm.
I guess that for each manual changes (ie 16:00 to 18:30), the day value is removed leading to invisible plots...

How could I define the axis boundary values by myself ?
Thanks a lot for your help.

It isn't at all clear from this post what your situation is, but your 39981 sounds suspiciously like an Excel date that has been erroneously converted into an Origin date - like sometime in June of 2009?

This could be cleared up if you sent the project to tech@
originlab.com.

Thank you for the help.

I succeed in rescaling my time x-axis, but it remains quite unclear. Fortunately, autoscale allows to reshow the plot when nothing is visible. from there I used format HH, changing property one by one (even digit by digit) and using Nbdays*24 + time as upper boundary, it works.
I tried the format DDD:hh and I noticed that, after autoscale, it was shown on axis as 39981 (from) and 39982 (to). when double clicking on axis to get properties pop-up menu, the to and from became 000 and 001...
It seems that there is a switch to a relative origin without warnings. it also seems that is depend on the "Rescale" property. I have also seen day number value changing (*2 when changing rescale property).
To conclude this feature seems quite unstable and hence tough to use...

Try Format : Axis Tick Labels : X Axis Tick Labels
and choose a Display type that includes DDD such as "DDD", "DDD:hh", etc.
Click Apply then go to the Scale tab where From and To should now include the day value.
You should also be able to use a format without DDD by calculating the actual hours as in
3 days 6 hours
is
72:06 hours
or directly use DDD:hh:mm:ss in from or to as in
From 003:06:00, To 003:18:00
But if you use the last example, when you re-open the axis dialog, the hour format will be shown even though you input in DDD:hh:mm format.
