For instance, if I have plotted a curve in an Origin graph, now I'd like to make the background in one side of the curve in green, and the other side in blue. The green and blue backgrounds meet right at my curve in a generally changing way, rather than a sudden change from green to blue. How to do it? Many thanks in advance.

And you can easily apply the Gradient Fill feature to the background of a graph or a plot.
