please,

how to make the background of a figure in gradient colors? For instance, if I have plotted a curve in an Origin graph, now I'd like to make the background in one side of the curve in green, and the other side in blue. The green and blue backgrounds meet right at my curve in a generally changing way, rather than a sudden change from green to blue. How to do it?

This feature called Gradient Fill has been supported since Origin 8.5. And you can easily apply the Gradient Fill feature to the background of a graph or a plot. You can go the "Transparency and Gradient Fill Control for Graphs" section of the following page to get some examples.
