Our research group is using originlab 8.0 sr6 and I am unsure if the version we have supports multithreading (ie multiple core support). The reason I am asking is that we are looking to upgrade machines and are trying to choose between dual or quad core. The main thing we will utilise these computers for is data analysis with Origin. If we order the quad and origin cannot utilise the multiple cores then they are basically worthless to that end.

Hi Marky1254,

Currently, Origin doesn't support multithreading.

Thanks,
Shirley
