Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 8.5.0 SR1
Operating System: Win7 Pro 32bit

Hopefully this is a simple fix.

I have a matrix of data (HV) that i have plotted as a 'contour-color fill' as shown in the attached image.

I'd like to adjust the scale of the vertical ('d') axis so the actual interval (say from 1 to 2) is the same on both the 'd' and 'X' axes (ie so that grid lines would form a square grid not rectangles).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

Sorry for the late response, but see this help page on script to use for setting the axes lengths to be in proportion:

To clarify, the surface of interest is rectangular (approximately 5mm x 2mm) and so i would like the contour plot to appear rectangular and hence represent my sample surface more closely than it is currently (where it looks almost square).

That is i would like to 're-size' the vertical (depth) axis so it is 'squashed' down if that makes sense. I have attached a JPEG to try and help show what i mean.

Do you mean you want to make the contour in square shape by adjust the From value and the To value of the X and Y axes? And you need to let the X, Y axes share the same interval in the graph?
