I'm trying to run the Matlab console from Origin, but I get the error message "no MATLAB installed" each time. How can I get Origin to detect Matlab ?
Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 8.1 SR0 v8.1.10.86 Operating System: Windows 7 SP1 Matlab : 7.10.0.499 (R2010a) 64-bit
Thanks |

If so, I don't have this module. However, I did try Comsol + matlab, and Comsol was able to launch Matlab without any problem.
Is there any way of manually telling Origin where Matlab is installed ?
Hi,
Please contact your local Origin tech support representative so they can try help you further.

We cannot reproduce this problem. Can other applications connect to the MATLAB installed on your machine? You can go to Mathworks website and find example of say connecting to MATLAB from Excel VB for example and test that.

Posted - 04/26/2011 : 4:54:08 PM I've upgraded to SR3, but I still have the same problem. Is there a way of manually entering the Matlab file path in Origin ? |

Maybe you can upgrade to 8.1 SR3 from this page and then try again.
