Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): OriginPro 8.1 SR3
Operating System:v8.1.34.90

I've made a contour plot and now I would like to somehow link the two axes (x and y) in order for them to have the same length for the ticks. So if one of them only goes from 1 to 2 and the other one goes from 1 to 4 the first one should be half the length of the second one. I hope I make sense :)

Thanks!

Hi,

To set the length of the axes so that they are in proportion to the range, you can refer to the script in this help page:

http://www.originlab.com/www/helponline/Origin/en/mergedProjects/QuickHelp/QuickHelp/How_do_I_set_the_aspect_ratio_of_the_layer_to_be_same_as_the_axes_range.html

Hi,

Origin does not have such option to control the length of X Y axis ticks. We are considering supporting this feature in the future.

Right now, you can change the Layer Width and Height (Plot Details dialog -> Layer level -> Size/Speed tab -> Layer Area group -> Width and Height) to make the X and Y axis length in proportion.
