I studied engineering 20 years ago and still have HP 48sx which I use daily. Way off topic here but I have a question? I have not done any calculus since I studied engineering and my old notes now look like chickenscratch. Is there a good software program out there that would help me relearn calculus from scratch? I am now retired and would like to relearn my old skills.

Cheers

If you are really searching for any calculus software, then I would suggest you better to follow several YouTube tutorials containing calculus process. That will enrich you with knowledge. Along with that, you also can take help from any expert like https://eduhelphub.com/ portal for better understanding.

Hi SamSalo

Even though MatLAB & Maple are great programs to computer numberical and algebraic mathematics. I would recommend getting a copy of Anton - Calculas it is fantastic book which covers the fundamentals of Calculas. I used this book while completing my Electrical Engineering Degree and it work wonders as a revision tool.

Thanks

I remember MatLab during my college and it uses matrix or matrices. It is a student friendly software for us to create graphs.

Maple is not numerical system, but an algebraic system, as Mathematica.

Matlab is a numerical system, but it also has algebraic expansion.

If so, I would google around for lecture notes on calculus from universities and work through them. Or you watch some nice videos of lectures on AcademicEarth: http://www.academicearth.org/subjects/mathematics

Hope that helps,
Cornelius

Try <Maple>, although I like Matlab.
