Hello,
I have docked the Windows task bar on the left side of the screen as I need the full height screen. However, I observe a strange behavior of Origin: Instead of restoring the last position of child windows such as "calculate values" or "export graph", these windows move to the left by the width of the task bar every time they are opened and eventually leave the screen.

Is there a workaround? (E.g., some setting to use absolute screen coordinates or does anybody know a program that resets the window to the last known position?)

applies to Origin Ver. 8 SR 6
Windows XP and Windows 7

Alex

This issue has been addressed in Service Release 1 (SR1) for Origin version 8.5.1.

Hi Alex,

Thanks for reporting this issue, we will look into why this is occuring.

For now the only workaround is to set the task bar to auto-hide.
