Posted - 05/25/2011 : 4:38:19 PM I am actually novice in using origin and mine is origin 8.5 I am plotting some curves in which the data are so closely spaced so when i use line+symbol plot then actually each symbol is printed for y value. But what I need is continuous line but symbol printed at specific interval of independent variable. I was searching like a hell about symbol spacing or symbol interval but could not find any. |

Posted - 05/08/2019 : 05:14:04 AM Hi,
Is there a way to detach the symbols from data points and have them at a specific distance from eatchother? Im trying to plot in a logarithmic scale and it looks wonky and skiping makes the distance too far apart.
Thanks

Posted - 05/25/2011 : 5:47:01 PM Hi,
Follow these steps: 1> Create line+symbol plot of your data 2> Double-click on plot to open Plot Details dialog 3> Switch to the Drop Lines tab, and check the Skip Points check box and enter desired/suitable number for skipping 4> Switch to Line tab and uncheck the Gap to Symbol check box
If you do not do 4>, the line will not draw as a continuous line.
