is there an easy way to move workbooks (or graphs, or folders...) from one project to another?

Hi Philipp,
Here are a few supplements to Greg's:
1) A Workbook as a Container (for worksheets and graphs): You can put your worksheets into one workbook (by moving a worksheet tab in a book to another book). You can embed graphs in a worksheet cell by right-clicking on the cell, and choosing "Insert Graph" shortcut. Then, you can save this container workbook by "File: Save Window As" menu to create a .OGW file. You can drag-and-drop this file onto the workspace of other project.
2) Save a Folder as a Project: You can save all contents in a folder by right-clicking on the folder in the Project Explorer, and choosing "Save As Project" shortcut. In the other Origin project, on a folder (root or a subfolder) right-click, and choose "Append Project" shortcut.

You can use File : Save Window As to save Workbooks, Matrixbooks and Graphs as files which you can later add to another opened Origin project.
You can use File : Append to combine whole projects. Be sure to use Yes when prompted to keep your projects in separate sub-folders. You can duplicate windows and copy duplicates to other folders. When done, you can delete folders and windows you don't want and re-save your project or you can right-click on any folder and save just that folder as an OPJ. |
