I want to deconvolve the experimental data and the resolution.
In order to do this, i select "analysis-->deconvolution"
in the field "signal" i select the y column with experimental data, in the field "response" i select the y colum from the gaussian.

Origin gives me the error "Invalid size" and does not allows me to perform the deconvolution.

Where is the problem and how to solve it ?

Thanks!!
Andrea

Hi Andrea,

Please note that, the signal (experimental data) you used here is shorter than the response (gaussian you used), that will generate an error. You can refer to this page for more details about the algorithm. When performing convolution, the length of the result is always not smaller than the input signal or response. And that is to say, when performing deconvolution, the signal you specified can be considered as the result of some signal with the given response. So, the signal cannot be smaller than the given response when performing deconvolution.

By the way, the X column for time should be the same for both signal and response. So, maybe you need to make some changes on your response data?
