Origin Ver8.0988 and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin):
Operating System: Win7

I got a problem when I use NLfit tool for 3D surface multiple peak fitting. In the OriginLab website below, the last figure shows basically what I expect to get:
http://www.originlab.com/index.aspx?go=Products/Origin/Graphing/3D&pid=1082

My input data is a matrix from an image file, which contains 6 gaussian peaks that I want to fit, but the Non Linear Surface Fit tool doesn't allow me to change the number of Replica from "Advanced --> Replica" option(it's grey color)....So far I can only fit one Gaussian to this matrix. Any idea what the problem is?

I'd appreciate your help a lot!

-Hao

Hi Fujii,

My current version is 8.0, that's why it doesn't have that nice capability as demonstrated in the official website...

Thank you anyway, it helps!

The only work-around in an older version may be to define a user-defined 3D Gaussian with six term groups, though you may have to manage and control all complications...
