Hi,

I am actually a new to origin 8. When I imported a .wav file to origin 8, I don't understand what the unit is of values in column A(Y) and what these values stand for?

Many thanks

They are amplitude values and they have no units.

8 bit files are traditionally considered to be unsigned and so have values from 0 to 255.

16 bit files are traditionally considered to be signed (such as your file) and have values from -32768 to 32767.
