Hello,

Could you tell me please how can I plot a graph symmetric around origin of axis but without changing the initial data? I just want to mirror the graph, that is all.

Thank you

Thank you very much. It worked like a charm.

Hi ticofiz,

Oh, sorry... I forgot including the following in the step 2):
2a) Choose Scale tab, and switch "From" and "To" of the scale so that direction would be reversed.

Hello,

Thank you for the quick reply.
Unfortunately I cannot reproduce the steps you suggested. I found the "Divide by Factor" only in the "Tick labels" field and it only changes the numbering on the axis. It does not reverse the axis and the graph. I am using OriginPro 8.5.1 but I don't think is different in this matter from this point of view.

Hi ticofiz,

One possible way may be to make a duplicated graph, and set the "Divide by Factor" of the X axis to -1, then merge them. That is:
1) Make a duplicated graph (Right-click on the title bar, and choose "Duplicate".)
2) Double-click the X axis to open the Axis dialog, choose "Title&Format" tab, and enter -1 to Divide by Factor field.
3) Merge two graphs ("Graph: Merge Graph Windows" menu) as arranged with two columns and one row; and Horizontal Gap=0. You may need to set "Specified" for the merge mode to explicitly specify the layer order.)

See the sample below:

You can do the similar way for either case of vertically symmetric or symmetric around the origin.

Does this work for you?
