Hello,
I have measured an effect of a ligand over time and recorded change in fluorescence. This gave me x value of "time", and y value of "fluorescence" from multiple cells. I have also background measurement. Now I want to subtract the background values which is in column B (y axis) with the cellular values which are from column C to column L (continuous).

I can do it with the set-column value e.g. Col(C)= col(C)-col(B). Then for next one: col(D)=col(D)-col(B) and so on. But, I have many cells. Its a bit boring work to subtract each column with the said column. Therefore, I am looking for any formula or script which can do this job for me so that I can invest time in analysing the data.

Thanks in advance.
Zan

Hi Zan,

The following one-line script can do what you wrote:

  for(ii=3;ii<=wks.ncols;ii++) wcol(ii)=wcol(ii)-col(2);
