Hello,
As I'm renaming objects (workbooks, graphs, whatever) in the Project Explorer side panel, there seems to some sort of refresh that occurs periodically in the program that closes the Rename edit box. This reverts the object name back to its original name, discarding everything I've typed in. This isn't some sort of "time-out" during the rename process because the refresh event happens randomly during the time I'm editing an object name. Once the refresh occurs, though, I seem to have about a minute until it recurs again, so it's more like some global refresh process within Origin.
This is really driving me nuts. If there's some setting I can change to kill this, I'd really like to know. Otherwise, perhaps it could be considered for the next update.
Thanks. ~Kipp |

So far I couldn't reproduce the irregular refresh problem when a worksheet, etc. is renamed (long name) in the Project Explorer on my XP and Win7 machines. I tried both a slow double-clicking, and choosing Rename by right-clicking. Displaying was stable, and operations were secure. Possibly it's some sort of video card/setting issue (e.g., try low resolution, less color depth, lower refresh rate)... Do you have the same problem on other machines, if you have?
Meanwhile, you can also rename the sub-window in Origin workspace from the Window Properties dialog (right-click on its tile bar).
