Hello all,
Is there any news about the use of origin6.1 under linux (Mandrake8.1)?
I have tried to use wine (using the instructions on the old web page) but it is not running.

Thanks

I use origin6.1 under wine. The problem with writing file may be solved by creating this file first and writing to it(save as ...). I create files with touch file.opj. However, wine crashes during fitting and in some other cases.

Hi,
Have you tried the Win4Lin emulator by
NeTraverse? We have tested Origin 6.1
on this emulator and found it to be
useable in this environment. Win4Lin
is available for trial from here:
http://www.netraverse.com/

Sincerely,
Geoff Taylor
Developer.

Hi
I don't know about Origin 6.1, but you can use the 6.0 version on linux (suse 7.0, 7.2, 7.3) just to view some files but not to save them (the stupid message that "the file doesn't exist"). It is the same even if you have read/write permision for the windows partition or you have installed origin in the "fake_windows" from wine.
