Posted - 08/09/2002 : 4:36:49 PM I am having difficulties with Text Control Dialog Box, apparently there is a bug related with this. The problem is the following: If you try to paste the above text in the Text Control Dialog Box:
MOSSBAUER FIT REPORT C:\MOSSWINN\WORK\GENERAL7.BAK 2002.06.11.Tuesday.18.04.55. Applied T-matrix : C:\MOSSWINN\TM\2SXTQ1D.MAT Applied Line Shape : LORENTZIAN GEOMETRY: TRANSMISSION FOLDED SPECTRUM EVALUATED IN AREA MODE Chisquare best value : 490.03370 ( 2.0676527 ) Goodness-of-fit : 0.0000000000 The corresponding parameter values
You will get only:
MOSSBAUER FIT REPORT C:MOSSWINNWORK
The rest will not appear.
The bug is associated with the back slash \ associated with the caracter that fellow it
In the second line of the above text you will find:
C:\MOSSWINN\WORK\GENERAL7.BAK
You can see that after the first \ thare is a M and a W after the second and after the third there is a G.
So that if after the \ there is the following lettes or carcters: B C F G I F L P S U V, (small ou big), $ % ( - + =, the text following the \ will appear only if you activate the USE SYSTEM FONT of the Text Control Dialog Box, on the contrary will not apears. But if you use \\ (two back slashes) the text will apear.
The other problem I am having is that the copy of Origin 7 I am using is very very slow.

Posted - 08/12/2002 : 11:10:20 AM Thank you very much for your sugestion. Pasting the text directly using the 'T' tools do not work. The problem of slowness I do not think it is lack of memory, my system is pentium 4, 1.5GHz, 750 MB of Ram. |

Posted - 08/09/2002 : 6:25:34 PM Text Control dialog supports text formating codes which begins with a '\'.
Try the [T] tool and click onto your graph, then you will see In-Place editing, and you can just paste into that. You don't need to open the Text Control dialog unless you want to use those '\' formating codes directly.
About being slow, maybe a lack of memory?
