Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): Pro 2017
Operating System: Windows 7

Hello! I am almost done with my project thanks to you guys and your help, I just have one more question. I have seen how to use release() in order to allow the user to exit/close an open Origin application after saving. However, is there a command to also close an Origin Application that is currently open? This way, I can run a program through Matlab that can do things in Origin, then save the Origin project and then close the application entirely.

You can try the following script:
invoke(originObj, 'Exit')
