Origin Ver. 8 SR4 Operating System: Win 7
Dear All
Assume that I have two-column data (X, Y), for which I measure at every X, for eg. temperature, 3 times Y. So my data look like Xa1 Ya1 Xa2 Ya2 Xa3 Ya3 Xb1 Yb1... Can I do an average of those data quickly into a new two column as
(Xa1+Xa2+Xa3)/3 (Ya1+Ya2+Ya3)/3 (Xb1+Xb2+Xb3)/3 (Yb1+Yb2+Yb3)/3...?
Thanks a lot for the help in advance.
Best regards,

Hi Chien-Lung,
You can choose "Analysis: Data Management: Reduce by Group" menu, then set Subgroup Method to "By Every N Points", and N to 3.
I have checked this works in version 8.5.1 and 8.6, but may not be available in ver. 8.0. If so, you can try this feature in evaluation version by downloading from www.originlab.com/index.aspx?go=Downloads/OriginEvaluation .
