I would like to set the 3D Color Map Properties from a script. I noted in the Version 5 release notes a reference to a bug fix that reports the 3D color map properties: "layer.cmap.=". I would like to change the status of Show Lines and Fill Contour with a script, but I don't see properties to do this. Is there a way to do it? How can I get an up-to-date list of properties?

A complete list of the properties that are available for the cmap sub-object can be found in a response to the February 5th Forum inquiry by Soriano called 3D and Labtalk. This list will be included in the LabTalk manual for the next release of the software. A complete list can also be obtained by executing the following line of script in the Script Window:

layer.cmap.=

While reading through the Forum inquiry you should notice that no properties exist that would allow you to control the Show Lines or Fill Contours check boxes from script. The only way that these check boxes can be controlled at all would be to save the Contour graph template with them set the way you want. To do so, you will have to create a contour plot, go into Contour Details, check or uncheck the check boxes, and then save the template by selecting File:Save Template As.

I hope that this proves somewhat helpful.

Sincerely,
Ryan Toomey
