Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 8.5.0 SR1
Operating System:win XP

Dear all,

actually I have a minor problem with creating matrix sheet.

If I create a matrixbook the first time Origin takes the default template.

But if I add another Sheet to the matrix book, origin uses a template, I defined once. Unfortunately I don't remember how I managed to set this new template and so I'm now not able to undo!

Could one of you please tell me where to define that...

Actually using labtalk x-funktion

newbook name:"test" option:=lsname mat:=1;

is using the same template...

Thx for your help

Hi 5*10,

First, the "name" option in your x-function command needs ":=" . So, it should read like:
newbook name:="test" option:=lsname mat:=1;

If you created a user-customized matrix template with the system template file name (i.e., ORIGIN.otm), you should be able to find it in your User Files Folder(UFF). (To know the UFF location, enter %Y command followed by ENTER key in the Script window). If you don't want to adopt your customized matrix template, delete the template file (or move it outside of UFF).

No matter the matrix was newly created, or the matrix sheet was added, always ORIGIN.otm in the UFF was used regardless you wrote as below:

> If I create a matrix book the first time Origin takes the default template.
> But if I add another Sheet to the matrix book, origin uses a template

Maybe you can give us the step-by-step procedure how to reproduce the problem.

Hi Hideo,

thx for your fast reply.

Actually together with your information I was able to solve the problem. As you mentioned I had a file origin.otm in the UFF. I just forgot that there is this folder as well. In general I don't use the UFF but I store my templates in the system folder.
I deleted the "wrong" template and now everything is working fine.

Bye
