Origin Ver. and Service Release (Select Help-->About Origin): 8.6
Operating System: windows xp sp3

Hello everyone,
I origin 8.6 trial version because I needed to perform a tricky fit for my "advanced physycs lab" course.
The Aim is to find the 'A_d' and 'Theta_d' parameters (with the corresponding uncertainties) belonging to the following formula:

we have a complete set of 471 empirical data to match the rho_d (dipendent variable) and T.

We watched closely the tutorial on how to make a fitting function that included an integral using lab talk (http://www.originlab.com/www/helponline/origin/en/mergedProjects/Tutorial/Tutorial/Fitting_with_Integral_using_LabTalk_Function.html);

when we tried implementing it the program said that the integration variable (x) was not declared.
Then it could not even perform one iteration.

Obviously we couldn't do any fit.

Any guess why the function doesn't work?

Hi memez,

Since "x" is a reserved system variable in Origin, please try other variable name such as "xx". As far as I have just tried, it worked.
