Operating System: Windows 7 Professional

Hi,

I'm currently working on a test evaluation and need your help. To calculate the friction losses correctly, i need to tell origin what kind of bearing is installed because a parameter in the friction modell changes according to the bearing type.

is it possible to write a script which brings up a dialog box in which i can choose between four different kinds of bearings. after i choose the bearing type, the script should calculate the friction losses with the parameter belonging to this bearing.

is it possible to bring up a dialog box, in which i can define a value, with which the script calculates following parameters.

I should probably mention, that i'm writing this script for somebody else. So the last option should be to change the parameters within the script before you run it.

Thanks in advance!

You can use getn command, which can pop up a dialog for user to input. e.g.

int itype;
string str$="Bearing1|Bearing2|Bearing3|Bearing4";
getn
(Bearing Type) itype:str$
(Please choose bearing type);
