I'm trying to export an EPS file with origin 6 to be used with latex but the file doesn't display properly in Ghostscript (5.50). If I try to use the eps file anyway, the ps file produced with dvips doesn't print the page with the graph (on the printer) and I can't seee the page with gs either.
Any idea?
I can print to a printer connected to a file, but I'd like to use the export option because it is easier to use in labtalk scripts (i can specify the filename output for each picture of my project).
Thanks
Fabio

Hi,

You should be able to do this without problem. Try checking the Show Export Options checkbox in the Save As dialog box and then checking the Include AI Format checkbox in the AI/EPS Output Filter Setup dialog box. I have successfully been using the default AI Version 3 but it shouldn't matter (but may depending on your version of GhostView).

Hope this helps.

Thanks for your suggestion. The export filter works if I check AI format (only 3,5,6 are ok) but I have another problem:
the graph is smaller if I export in this way than it is if I print to file.
Is there any fix for this?
Thanks a lot
Fabio

Hi,

When you export a page the size of the page is affected by the Copy Page ratio (which defaults to 40%). Printing to a file is not affected by this setting.

To change the Copy Page ratio select Tools:Options from the Origin main menu, select the Page tab, select the desired Copy Page ratio and then click OK to close the Options dialog box. You can click Yes to Save as Start Up options if desired.
