Ya' know, this really begs the question, "Why do I have to request a function from MicroCal?"
or
"How do I add my own built-in functions?"What I mean to ask (and perhaps this belongs in a new thread)is how do I write a new function in C and link it into Origin?
Ideally, the good folks at MicroCal should supply us with the necessary header file and function "stubs" so that we can write a function and have it show up on the function menu, receive and array (or arrays) from a worksheet and return an array (or arrays) to the worksheet.
It's a revisitation of the old "give a man a fish, feed him for a day" moral. Maybe we can beg and plead with Microcal to give us Allan Variance, but next week I'm going to want Modified Overlapping Haddamard Variance, or some such rot.
Now maybe this functionality is already in Origin, and I'd be thrilled if someone could point me in the right direction because I can't figure it out from my (printed or online) documentation.
