I am trying to generate a probability plot uning Origin 6.0 in combo with Excel. I have both raw data from resistance measurements taken over a given time period and the corresponding delta from the benchmark for a connector.

The manual makes reference to "Probability Scale" in section 10.5.1, but does not give any information as to how to generate such a plot.

Do I have to do all of the calculations manually (unfortunately I don't know how this is done) or can Origin use the raw data to generate the plots?

Any info on this would be appreciated.

Origin provides an easy way to generate a probability plot. If you are importing data from Excel, simply click the “Open Excel” button on the Standard Origin Toolbar, and open the file as an Origin worksheet. Select the data that you want to analyze/plot. Then from Origin’s Menu bar choose Plot, Statistical Graphs, Histogram + Probabilities. Origin will plot a histogram on the bottom axes and a probability plot with cumulative distributions plotted on a normal probability scale along the y-axis in the upper graph.
