I am not aware of a crash occuring after a person was able to create the function graph, and then unable to open the resulting OGG. The few reported crashs would usually occur when the function with the invalid argument was first created. You do mention that you feel the crash might be related to the length of the function. Why don't you create a second function graph and save it as an OGG. Make this a shorter one. If the crash still occurs it may be due to a specific function that you have written. This information will assist us in further troubleshooting.
My suggestion is to send your local OriginLab representative an Email with an attached Origin Project. Within the project should be this function window, already created. The representative in Finland is:
SmartSystems Inc.
ElectroCity, PO Box 149
SF-20521 Turku
Phone: +358 2 233 3387
Fax: +358 2 233 3386
E-mail: info@smartsystems.inet.fi
They will be able to then create the OGG file and document what happens when they attempt to reopen the file. It is important you include step by step instruction on how you first created the Function Window and then the OGG file.
Please include with this information, your Origin serial number and the current version of your software. This can be obtainined by clicking on Help: About Origin. You might also want to include the name of the operating system installed on your computer. Sometimes there are problems only on certain operating systems.
The best of Luck,
-Scott
